Rising to the carbon challenge and addressing the threat of climate change is an objective at the heart of our strategy. With a clear long-term role for coal-fired generation we are working on ways to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide, through continuing investment, whilst at the same time delivering reliable supplies of electricity. We take pride in our environmental leadership position in the coal-fired sector and aim to strengthen it.
