Work by winning artists on display at Morrisons, Selby

February 10, 2012

More than 100 artworks by pupils from local schools will be on show in a temporary gallery at Morrisons store, on Market Cross, Selby next week (6 – 17 February).

Young artists aged 5-18 from 24 schools took part in the Drax Art In The Community competition, now in its fifth year.

The Morrisons exhibition is the first leg of a mini tour of the works following an award ceremony at Drax Sports and Social Club in December where the finalists received art supplies and the schools donations which together totalled £3,500.

The second leg of the tour will take place at Selby Leisure Centre beginning 20 February 2012.
